Price mooted for Xbox 360

Microsoft preping to grab your cash

NEWS: 28 May 2005 1:52 GMT by Stuart Miles

The chatter is about the web this weekend with that the Xbox 360 will retail for around $300 (£200) when it launches in America later this year.

Although not confirmed by Microsoft or currently not listed on any of the major retailers on or off-line both sides of the pond, the comment was made by none other than J Allard, head honcho of the Xbox 360 in a recent interview.

Microsoft's current generation system, Xbox, launched for $299 in November of 2001.

Allard said that the company would make a final decision on the price of the new Xbox 360 in about two months. The Xbox 360 is expected to launch in November this year.

We will keep you posted.
