EA storm the charts with Sim 2 Nightlife add-on

It is business as usual as EA dominates UK chart

NEWS: 20 September 2005 20:21 GMT by Stuart Miles

Electronic Arts has stormed the UK charts this week taking the top two positions and forcing last weeks number one - Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six: Lockdown down to sixth place.

The titles that have managed to do the business are The new Sims add-on pack The Sims 2: Nightlife and Burnout Legends. In at number three is Fahrenheit from Atari.

Now that the Ashes have finished Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 has slipped to number three in the chart.

Other new entries that have performed well are Total Overdose from Eidos in at number 7 and yet another EA title; Madden NFL 06 in at Number nine.

Microsoft's Dungeon Siege II failed to ignite excitement debuting at number 20.

The PSP's glory effect has also it seems lost its grip on the all format chart with Both Ridge Racer and Virtua Tennis: World Tour falling drastically in the charts from three and six to 18 and 16 respectively.
