NEWS: 8 February 2004 16:20 GMT by Stuart Miles

Gamers will be distraught to here that the most anticipated game of last year has once again slipped. Due to be launched at the end of February, the game has now been given an illusive release date of Summer 2004.

Valve, the games developers blame the code-stealing incident before Christmas for the delay. But it's not just gamers that will be unhappy. ATi, the graphics board company, promised customers that the game would be shipping with graphics boards from last year - the games original release date. Now the game has been delayed, rebates will have to be issued.

More bad news is that Half-Life 2 will now be going head-to-head with Bungie's Halo 2 It could be worse however: id's Doom III has slipped for over three years from originally slated release date.
