Microsoft reveals face plate designs for Xbox 360

Four flavours to choose from

NEWS: 14 November 2005 12:23 GMT by Stuart Miles

The Xbox 360 is nearly here and to tease us even more, Microsoft has revealed a range of easily interchangeable Faceplates, which enable gamers to personalise their console to match their individual style or living room surroundings.

The line up is based on the best designs from around the world and there are four distinctive designs to choose from - ‘Silver', ‘Hot Rod', ‘Sun' and ‘Woody'.

All Faceplates in the range will, according to Microsoft resist scratching or peeling and all are easily interchangeable with each other.

Each Faceplate is priced at £14.99 and will launch simultaneously with the Xbox 360 across Europe, on 2nd December with the promise of new designs coming out next year.

Earlier on in the year as a marketing stunt, Microsoft gave journalists who attended a press briefing at the games convention E3 in May in Los Angeles a limited edition face plate for the yet to be released console. At the time, some were selling on Ebay for thousands of pounds.
