Sony has launched a new 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo Pack for its PSP games console in an attempt to highlight the machines multimedia elements such as the ability to play music, view images and watch movies rather than just treat the console as a games machine.

The pack, which comes without a PSP, features a 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo card and a USB cable to allow easy transfer of data between a PC and the console.

The availability of the 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo promotion pack for the
PSP will vary from country to country and those not wishing to go the whole hog, so to speak, will be able to opt for capacities ranging between 256Mb and 1Gb.

The 2Gb version will be available at an estimated end-user price of £100 in the UK.
