Sensible Soccer coming back to consoles this summer

Footie fun in time for World Cup

NEWS: 7 February 2006 14:12 GMT by Stuart Miles

Sensible soccer is to get a second outing a decade after it was first launched in time for the World Cup in Germany.

The game, which is being developed by Codemasters for PlayStation2, Xbox and PC will keep the same visual top down style of the original but introduce 3D cutscenes and replays.

Also inkeeping with the original, Codemasters is promising “Lightning fast football action, mesmerising dribbling, physics-defying sliding tackles and a huge amount of spectacular goals”.

The game will allow up to four players on the pitch at any one time, the chance to individually select over 5000 players and choose from over 350 teams including international teams.

Gamers will also be able to play by their own rules in the DIY Competition mode and customise the names of players, and teams.

The company has also said that it plans to release a mobile version called Sensible Soccer Skillz, for mobile phones in sometime before June.
