EA announces release date for Sports Cricket 07

Play with the new Century Stick control system

NEWS: 11 September 2006 16:34 GMT by Amber Maitland

Electronic Arts has announced the release of its newest cricketing title, due out in November for the PS2 and PC.

EA Sports Cricket 07 features the “groundbreaking” Century Stick control system, and a more natural camera perspective to give players a more immersive experience.

“Our new, innovative ‘Century Stick’ control system will change the way all fans approach gameplay as you’ll now have full control over foot choice, shot selection, shot power, and shot direction – it’s never felt this close to actually wielding a bat before,” said Justin Forrest, producer at EA Canada.

The game features a new Quickplay setting so that players can increase the game speed at an easier setting, and lets players join Limited Overs or fully-licensed Twenty20 games in a fast-blast match of hard-hitting sixes. Games can also choose from a complete schedule of Australian State and English County tournaments, or play in this year’s 3-Mobile Series Down Under.
