Microsoft goes exclusive mad at X06

New instalments of Splinter Cell, Gotham Racing and Banjo-Kazooie

NEWS: 27 September 2006 23:26 GMT by Stuart Miles

Microsoft has announced a slew of product announcements at X06 in Barcelona, Spain for its Xbox360 games console.

Rockstar and Take-Two announced they will provide Xbox360 gamers with exclusive access to two downloadable, epic episodes of “Grand Theft Auto IV” via Xbox Live, each with hours of entirely new gameplay and available only on Xbox360 just months after the release of the title.

While Ubisoft confirmed that the next “Splinter Cell” title, the next instalment in the series after “Splinter Cell Double Agent,” will be a console-exclusive on Xbox360.

In an attempt to continue the exclusive domination Microsoft has also announced “Banjo-Kazooie”.

Microsoft also used the event to announce the next instalment in the “Project Gotham Racing” series. Project Gotham Racing 4 will again be exclusively for Xbox360.

Microsoft Game Studios also announced its new massively multiplayer online game, “Marvel Universe Online” for Xbox360 and the Windows Vista operating system.

Two additions to Xbox Live Arcade were announced: “DOOM” is available today for download via Xbox Live Arcade as well as “Sensible World of Soccer” from Codemasters.
