Nintendo announces games lineup for Wii and DS

Early adopters of the Wii have more titles to look forward to

NEWS: 20 December 2006 10:00 GMT by Amber Maitland

Nintendo has issued the release schedule for games on the DS and the Wii consoles.

On the DS, in January gamers can expect Mario to brighten the winter blues in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. Starfox fans also get a fix with Star Fox Command.

Other games hitting the shelves early in 2007 include Actionloop, Mario Slam Basketball, and Pokemon Ranger, all from Nintendo, as well as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice for All from Capcom.

The Professors Brain Trainer: Logic and Memory editions are both launching in January, while Konami fans can look forward to Xiaolin Showdown and My Frogger Toy Trials in February. Ibisoft’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the DS launches in March, along with Disney’s Meet the Robinsons, and Rafa Nadal Tennis.

For the Wii, Nintendo says Wario Ware: Smooth Move will be perfect for Mini-game fans, and is launching on 12 January. Other titles include Kororinpa, which is an interactive marble maze where players must navigate using the Wii Remote, and Mario Party 8.

Sports gamers can take to the track in truck racing game Excite Truck, or fly planes in Wing Island.

Those who prefer action games will get their share with Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, and Dragonball Y Budokai Tenkaichi 2.

Other games that are bound to be popular include SSX Blur, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
