Electronic Arts Inc. today announced that the series that put the Real-time Strategy (RTS) on the map is back with a bang. All hail the imminent arrival of Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars (C&C 3).

Additionally, a special edition will be released, C&C 3 Kane Edition, which will contain a load of goodies for the ardent campaign fan.

EA claim that C&C 3: Kane Edition "will be the definitive collectible for any Command & Conquer or Real-time strategy game fan". The special edition will include a bonus DVD with a behind-the-scenes documentary, deleted scenes and a blooper reel from the live action video shoots. And if gamers are in need of any special tuition there will also be gameplay strategy videos from the game designers.

Not content with just the bonus DVD, C&C 3: Kane Edition will also feature five new multiplayer maps and three unique unit skins, one for each of the three factions in the game. There’ll also be a few wallpapers thrown in for good measure.
