The Hoards descend on Europe

World of Warcraft pitch the battle in a high Street near you

NEWS: 12 January 2007 10:00 GMT by Chris Ford

January 15/16th is the date set for Burning Crusade, the latest round of clashes between Blizzard and the gamer as they set to take to the streets and stores to celebrate the latest World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft game designer, Jon LeCraft, and Vice President of Business Development, Itzik Ben Bassat are going to be wielding pens at HMV on Oxford Street in London on the 15th.

World of Warcraft:The Burning Crusade special edition with such items as an exclusive Nether Whelp pet, a hardback book of concept and display art, a CD soundtrack, a behind the scenes DVD and two starter packs for the WoW: Trading Card Game will be available too.

In addition there’ll be a unique Gurky baby Murloc pet giveaway, demonstrations of the WoW: Trading Card Game and an exclusive WoW:TBC T-shirt giveaway.

Meanwhile on the continent John Lagrave, senior producer, and Jeff Chamberlain, Cinematics Project Lead, will be facing down the French at the FNAC on the Champs Elysées in Paris on the 16th, and don’t think that the Northern wastes will escape off lightly. Brian Morrisroe, Lead Dungeon Artist for The Burning Crusade, will be soothsaying the midnight opening of Media Markt in Charlottenburg, Berlin, and Rob Foote, Art Associate Producer, will be repelling the attack at EB Games Gallerian, Stockholm, all also on the 16th.

If you're interested in getting the Burning Crusade as soon as it is released, please check with your local gaming shop to see if they are planning a midnight opening for January 16.
