EA launch storyline-based The Sims Stories

12 chapters to complete

NEWS: 16 January 2007 15:39 GMT by Stuart Miles

EA has announced that it is launching a new range of games to its The Sims series that follow a specific storyline rather than the current roam free gameplay already available.

Called The Sims Stories, the games promise to be story based and will "entertain both the novice and experienced player".

The first of these games, The Sims Life Stories, introduces an all-new Story Mode with two stories that follow the lives of Riley Harlow and Vincent Moore, two very different characters who have reached similar crossroads in their love lives.

A comic romantic plot will guide players through 12 chapters.

According to EA the games are designed to be laptop-friendly, and will not require expansion packs or stuff packs from previous The Sims or The Sims 2 collections.

Also Coming Soon to The Sims Stories Line: The Sims Pet Stories invites your Sims to care for and train loveable but unpredictable pets, and in The Sims Castaway Stories you help your Sims make a new life in an unexplored deserted island paradise.

All releases in The Sims Stories line offer two fun ways to play, directed Story mode and open-ended Classic mode.

All of "The Sims Life Stories" games are designed to run on laptops and do not require upgraded graphics cards, as many PC games do. The games can also be played for hours or minutes in a window while other programs, such as instant messaging or email, run simultaneously.

The Sims Stories games are the latest offering from the popular Sims franchise, which has been translated into 22 languages and sold more than 70 million games around the world.
