Forza Motorsport 2 revving up for early release

Take a drive on the wild side

NEWS: 30 January 2007 9:41 GMT by Chris Ford

All racing fans should be happy at the news that the first truely hyper-detailed racer for a next-gen console is taking its place on the starting grid.

With Gran Turismo 5 in the pits, possibly until next December, Forza Motorsport 2, developed by Microsoft Game Studios, could be with us as early as this summer.

And all this after originally being scheduled for November!

“Our schedule right now has us hitting Xbox certification around the middle of April and going gold soon afterwards”, said Forza community rep Che Chou.

“We want them to put the game on shelves as soon and as fast as they can humanly muster.”

Microsoft has revealed that 12 tracks will be available for gamers to burn up including Suzuka Circuit, Laguna Seca, Maple Valley, Silverstone, Sebring and Sunset Peninsula Infield. Not only that, but the official website has been uploaded with tips and details of the game’s multiplayer component.
