Given the fanfare following news of the Xbox 360 version of the popular music game, it has been announced that Guitar Hero is on it way to Wii and Nintendo DS too.

Activision Publishing president and CEO Mike Griffith spoke of the company’s plans for 2008 financial year and support for Nintendo’s new platform was high on the agenda.

“In fiscal year 2008, we’ll double our offerings on DS and Wii, including Spiderman, Shrek, Transformers and Guitar Hero.”

That was all he mentioned of the plans meaning that it could be released anywhere between the beginning of April of this year and the end of March 2008.
