Casino Royale Blu-ray for PS3 buyers

Free film offered first come, first serve

NEWS: 13 February 2007 9:15 GMT by Chris Ford

Sony has let it be known that as a little something extra, the first 500,000 European PS3 owners to register their consoles online after launch will be given a copy of the latest James Bond film on Blu-Ray.

The offer mirrors the offer made in the US when the PS3 launched, with the first 400,000 receiving a copy of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

Sony's Darren Carter, VP of brand and consumer marketing described the offer as a "phenomenal incentive" as not only will gamers get the film but they’ll also have access to free online gaming and downloadable content.

"Casino Royale not only makes the most of the features and capabilities of the Blu-ray format, but is one of the most exciting and entertaining movies to debut on Blu-ray this year", Carter added.
