Play.com has announced today that it is promising to fulfil every pre-order it gets for the PlayStation 3 console before its launch next month.
The online shopping store is offering free delivery and have a special bundle deal including three launch titles including MotorStorm, Resistance: Fall of Man and Genji as well as a free HDMI cable.
The whole package is still a pricey £524.99, but it is considerably cheaper than HMV's £675 offering for a console and PSP.
Commenting on the strategy, Head of Games Gian Luzio explained:
“We have seen an overwhelming number of pre-orders for the PlayStation 3 over the past few months, without Play actively marketing the product. It is clearly going to be a huge launch and we wanted to ensure that we could meet demand."
According to a spokeswomen commenting on behalf of Play.com, she told Pocket-lint that the company have "struck the right deal to guarantee that any pre-order placed online".
The company has also confirmed to us that they have a never-ending supply of the consoles. If you pre-order one, Play.com will deliver.
