Well, Tomb Raider sure has come a long way since 1996, when the original game was launched. With multiple game titles and a movie under its belt, Eidos are getting ready to pop the champagne with Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary sometime in Q2 2007.

The new title will use an enhanced "Tomb Raider: Legend" game engine, with the graphics, technology and physics bringing Lara’s adventure right up to date.

This latest Tomb Raider sees Lara Croft hired by a powerful syndicate to retrieve a mythical object called the Scion. She soon finds out that she’s been used in a larger scheme, so Lara takes matters into her own hands deciding that she must uncover the mystery behind this ancient artifact.

Travel around the world, from Peru to Greece, Egypt to undiscovered lands, fighting wolves, bears, crocs and even a T Rex; Tomb Raider: Anniversary not only opens new places but new ways to explore in order to discover secrets from Lara’s past.
