Gears of War developers to take on gamers

Open tournament against Epic. Fancy your chances?

NEWS: 22 February 2007 9:38 GMT by Chris Ford

This is the chance many gaming fans of top seller Gears of War have been waiting for - the chance to lock and load against the game's developers.

Gamers will be able to prove themselves by taking on Lead Designer Cliffy B (Cliff Bleszinski), VP Mark Rein, and the Epic Team in the Developer Showdown event on Saturday 24 February.

From 1900 to 2100 GMT, the Epic team will be open to challenges from the Xbox Live Marketplace community.

Combat will take place on the Old Bones and Raven Down maps, both downloadable for free on Xbox Live Marketplace.

Gamers who want to take part just have to add any of the GamerTags below to their Friends List, and be online at the times above waiting for an invitation.

Good luck… you’re going to need it!
