Gamesdog reported news of the upcoming PS3 version of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames a few weeks back but now EA has announced that the much awaited title will also see battle on Xbox 360, PS2 and PC.

As with the PS3 version, the release dates have been vague, with only “holiday season 2007” to go on.

Nevertheless, it is good news for all fans of the series.

“Mercenaries 2: World in Flames delivers the next evolution in explosive open world gameplay, regardless of the system you play it on”, said Pandemic Studios CEO Andrew Goldman.

“All four platforms are incredible gaming machines, and from the beginning we designed an experience that accentuates their individual strengths and delivers the interactive freedom and explosive action Mercenaries fans demand.”
