Grand Theft Auto action over at Take Two

Law suits getting settled and GTA4 trailer on its way

NEWS: 2 March 2007 10:38 GMT by Chris Ford

There have been big goings on, both from the past and future, over at Take Two Interactive, parent of GTA publisher Rockstar Games.

First off is the possible out of court settlement of a law suit that threatened Take Two over “sex” minigames found in GTA: San Andreas.

Back in 2005 several of the game’s buyers, including a grandmother who bought the game for her 14 yo grandson, sued the publisher but now a New York judge has put a stay on the action after lawyers for both parties have “agreed to engage in settlement discussions with the hope of amicably resolving this matter”.

Looking to the future, Rockstar has announced that the first trailer for GTA IV will be available to view on March 29. The official GTA IV website now features a countdown clock to the big event.

GTA IV has been scheduled for an October 16 in the US/October 19 in Europe release for PS3 and Xbox 360.
