Activision, in partnership with many a developer across all the consoles, have announced Shrek the Third which plans to shake its way out sometime in May.

Available on Xbox 360, PS2, Wii, all developed by Shaba, PC (Beenox), PSP (Amaze), GBA, and Nintendo DS (Vicarious Visions) Shrek the Third will take gamers on an adventure that takes them way beyond the film.

In the game, players adventure as Shrek and his friends, Donkey, Puss-in-Boots, Fiona, Fiona’s rebellious cousin Arthur and her fellow fairy tale heroine Sleeping Beauty to save the World of Far Far Away after Prince Charming storms the city with an army of villains in order to seize the throne.

Gamers will have to travel through 20 challenge filled levels to rescue friends, fight Charming’s henchmen, solve puzzles, and find collectibles in both single-player and multiplayer mini-games.
