Ignition for Stuntman later this year

A return to the next-gen for the unsung heroes

NEWS: 5 March 2007 10:44 GMT by Chris Ford

It’s been a while in the waiting but after 4 years THQ have announced the follow up to 2002’s Stuntman with Stuntman: Ignition.

The men and women behind the most dangerous and audacious scenes in cinema are the real heroes of the big screen, and here you’ll be able to step into their shoes for a while and Ignition breaks onto Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2 this summer.

THQ acquired the Stuntman license and developer, Paradigm Entertainment, last May from Atari so there are high hopes for what this title might bring.

Gamers will have to drive vehicles on location during filming, following the director’s instructions to the letter. With more than 25 different vehicles, including motorcycles, sports cars, and hovercraft, directors will ask players to make insane jumps and other dangerous stunts in one take, and make it look like a walk in the park.

There will also be an online multiplayer feature, so that budding Lee Majors can go up against each other.
