Nintendo add Galaga, Super Ghouls and Ghosts and Double Dungeons for download

Three classic available for old school gaming

NEWS: 9 March 2007 14:14 GMT by Chris Ford

With the release of three classic titles today, Nintendo has pushed up the number of games available for download to 62.

The three new titles are the arcade classic Galaga, launched in 1981, Turbografx’s 1990 Double Dungeons, and Capcom's Super Ghouls and Ghosts, a SNES game from 1992.

The games will cost fans 500, 600 and 800 Wii points respectively.

All the games on the system so far have been re-releases with none of the original content that Nintendo promised in sight.

There have also been grumbles from fans due to Nintendo’s decision to use the original poor quality PAL conversions of some titles, rather than emulating the superior NTSC version.
