Hoist the Jolly Roger for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Raiding a console near you this summer

NEWS: 20 March 2007 9:49 GMT by Chris Ford

Land lubbers and salty sea dogs alike should get ready to rattle their sabres for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End which is to board ship on May 25.

Finding release on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, PC and Wii by developers Eurocom, and on DS by Amaze, this latest Pirates of the Caribbean is sure to bring more Jack Sparrow special moves of plank walking, rig climbing, and drunken swaggering mayhem courtesy of Disney Interactive.

Inspired by both the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End", and last year's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", the action and adventure title will take gamers on ships, and through town and jungle.

The game will take advantage of each console’s power - The next-gen console games will have innovative duelling controls as well as special moves used to outwit and defeat enemies. In addition, the Wii version takes advantage of the Wii Remote for swinging and thrusting motions that are similar to fighting with a sword.

"Fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise will experience adventures inspired by the second and third films while going far beyond the events of those films", said Craig Relyea, vice president of marketing, Disney Interactive Studios.

"With the action, excitement, unforgettable characters and expansive locations from the blockbuster films, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End will be the definitive 'Pirates' video game experience for fans. Our games go beyond the films to introduce legendary pirates, new locations and unique endings that will satisfy the pirate in each of us."
