Capcom to take Devil May Cry 4 onto multiple platforms

Capcom determined to take the successful franchise beyond PlayStation

NEWS: 20 March 2007 11:41 GMT by Chris Ford

It was only a matter of time, given the success of the Devil may cry titles on PlayStation, that now Capcom are to take their fourth offering, Devil May Cry 4 to a wider audience with releases not only on PS3 but Xbox 360 and PC as well, all to be launched simultaneously.

“Capcom is committed to making its titles available to as wide an audience as possible, and has been building its technology base to meet that goal”, said Mark Beaumont, executive vice president, officer and head of Capcom consumer software publishing in the Americas and Europe.

“This announcement means that PS3, Xbox 360 and PC owners worldwide will be able to experience the latest instalment of one of Capcom’s pillar franchises.”

With global sales to date of almost 7 million untis, the Devil May Cry series sinks gamers into a gothic world and Devil May Cry 4 plans to use all the power of the next-Gen consoles to bring fans deeper into the action.

As the new leading man, Nero, players will unleash incredible attacks and non-stop combos using a unique new gameplay mechanic, his powerful “Devil Bringer” arm.
