Mexican Governor seizes copies of Ghost Recon 2

Seizure takes places after complaints made by mayor

A few weeks ago Gamesdog brought you news of the harsh words mayor of the Mexican city of Juarez had for Ghost Recon Advanced Warrior 2 (GRAW2), slamming the game for its depiction of his city.

Now the story has taken a turn as the Governor of the Mexican state of Chihuahua has given orders that all copies of the game on sale in the state are to be seized.

The game is set in the city of Juarez and El Paso, Texas, and gamers can play as part of an elite squad who take on Mexican rebels, mounting an invasion of Mexico.

The Governor, José Reyes Baeza Terrazas finds the game highly insulting not only to the State of Chihuahua, and its city of Juarez, but the whole of Mexico.
