WipEout Pulse on track this autumn

Anti-gravity racing on its way to PSP

NEWS: 5 April 2007 7:01 GMT by Chris Ford

Scee are making sure that the coming autumn isn’t too much of a come down after the summer by launching WipEout Pulse in September.

Designed for the PSP, the latest title in the favourite Sony racer range will carry the torch for the legendary game with 24 new tracks, 8 teams and 7 adrenaline-fuelled game modes.

There are new weapons and traps as well, including the particularly devious Mag-Strip which locks opponent’s ships to the track.

Of course, there’ll also be wireless multiplayer gaming via the Ad Hoc and Infrastructure Modes, and if it’s possible to get bored with all that you’ll be able to download packs including new tracks, ships and tunes.

As with all the wipEout franchise, the soundtrack will be something special too, providing the right sort of pumping tunes to race at 800 kilometres per hour. The soundtrack is mixed by a range of top artists including Mason, Loco Dice and Stanton Warriors.
