Wii version of Resident Evil 4 confirmed

Official word of the industry’s worst kept secret

NEWS: 5 April 2007 7:11 GMT by Chris Ford

A Wii version of Resident Evil 4 has been confirmed having been spotted on two retail sites on two continents.

The game, titled Biohazard 4 (as RE is known in Japan), is promised to take full advantage of the Wii’s remote controllers, with the system being used for knife attacks, aiming, firing and reloading, all with sound effects from the built-in speaker including the reloading.

RE4 (Biohazard 4) is set for release in Japan on May 31 and although no official mention has been made of the title being released elsewhere, its appearance on retailer sites late last week suggest that gamers world over will get the chance.
