Call of Duty 4 bringing Modern Warfare - Rumours confirmed image

Rumours have been doing the rounds for a while now but finally Activision have confirmed the almighty coming of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.

The developers on the project are Infinity Ward who are going to rip the Call of Duty franchise from the past battles of World War II and bring them kicking and screaming to the present, hence Modern Warfare … get it?

That’s more or less all that we know so far - there are no screens, no storyline, no platforms (though we can hazard a guess that it will at least include the two big next-gen consoles), but Activision will release more info in the form of a trailer during the NFL draft on ESPN this Saturday, April 28 at 7pm GMT/8pm CET (1pm Eastern/10am Pacific).
