World of Warcraft Visa credit card now on offer

A gaming first if there ever was one

NEWS: 8 May 2007 0:01 GMT by Chris Ford

We all know that WoW has been the biggest thing since sliced bread but for proof that the MMO has truly entered the mainstream of society you need look no further than the World of Warcraft Visa credit card.

Many credit cards offer things like airmiles with purchases but the WoW Visa, available in 13 different designs, is offering game time with all you buy.

Fans can earn game time at 1% for every dollar spent in qualifying purchases, in other words $1600 means a free month of service, or $1 in the real world translates as $0.01 of credit in the game.

That doesn’t sound that great to us but you do get a free month of WoW when you first use the card and it has an introductory APR of 0%.
