THQ have brought a bit of good news and a bit of bad news to all Saints Row fans out there.

First the good news. Next year will see Saints Row 2 and, what is more, the PS3 debut of the game originally made for the 360.

The bad news is that there will be no PS3 version of the original Saints Row, something which was supposed to be out this spring or early summer.

THQ CEO Brian Farrell commented, "We think the most important thing for the Saints Row franchise is to have a simultaneous ship into a larger installed base next year. We think the bigger opportunity is a multiplatform launch".

So,what are we supposed to think? Are resources scarce over at THQ? Is there only enough to go around for a sequel and not a port? It seems strange considering the success of the original, with over 1 million copies sold world over.
