GameFlood draw Mod and Map Making Contest

$25,000 of prizes for the top designers

GameFlood, the videogame content creation site, has announced a new mod and map making contest that will give users the chance to submit, nominate, and vote for their favourite mods and maps.

There are a load of games which designers can choose from to design the best add-on content they can come up with, including Warhammer 40,000, Rainbow 6 Vegas, C&C 3, Starcraft, and many, many more (see below for the full list.)

Those interested should visit the GamesFlood site and sign up to submit their entries, the winner from whom will be chosen in July.

There are several categories of entry including Best FPS Multiplayer Mod; Best FPS Multiplayer Map; Best RTS Multiplayer Mod; Best RTS Multiplayer Map; Best RPG Mod (Single or Multiplayer), with first place winners taking $3,000 worth of prizes – both cash and high-end equipment.

"This contest announcement is a concrete expression of our vision for providing PC gamers and developers with the most comprehensive community platform to play, create, and distribute the most exciting PC add-on content available," said Matthew Wisdom, CEO of Turbo Squid.

"The contest is our way of giving something back to developers and innovators of the mod and map making industry and others who are impassioned by extending the life of the finest PC titles in the world."
