During the course of this last week Halo fans have been receiving an email from Microsoft which has included a poem of sorts. Not many have been able to figure out what it means… until now.

A Halo fan who posts his thoughts on Bungie.net, CrazyBoy3, noticed a similarity between a symbol in the email and symbols which were appearing elsewhere on the internet.

The big break through was when he saw the symbol on a Circuit City advert with a reference to http://halo3.com/comic.

OK, so the next step was getting hold of the comic, in which the Sentinels are seen arriving on Earth, and somehow working out that the back panels could be readjusted to reveal the numbers 206, 16, 233 and 65. From there it was just a short jump to putting them in his browser.

If you do the same you’ll find two sites, one with aliens and the other with a count down. But a count down to what is the question! No word as yet but apparently there’ll be more news sometime soon. We’ll keep you posted.
