Around the end of May we brought you news of rumours that Gran Turismo 5 will include an ‘In-car’ view, and now we’ve heard news that takes us a step closer to an official announcement.

Gran Turismo designer Kazunori Yamauchi, speaking on Turbo, a French motoring programme, spoke of the behind-the-wheel-view in the upcoming game.

This goes with what he said last year, referring to core changes that the multi, multi-million selling franchise become "a fully realized online car life simulation."

"To translate the real car into 3D, we use data and assets provided by the car manufacturers, but we also use a scanner that completely digitizes a car," Yamauchi reported.

"Here's a scoop: We're also modelling the dashboards because you can drive from the interior view in the upcoming Gran Turismo 5."
