In what has been a summer of ratings organisations getting their knickers in a twist, the latest game to be given orders is The Darkness.

Take-Two has been given instructions from the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK) in Germany about changes that need to be made before it is given a rating.

It seems that the USK has taken exception to various points of content including Nazi symbols (a big no-no in Germany) and a particularly grizzly finishing move that involves ripping out a combatant’s heart.

This has meant that the title’s release has been put back to Germany to July 27, whereas it was with the rest of Europe June 29.
