Jenga takes a tumble on Nintendo

All the fun of letting them fall without having to pick them up!

NEWS: 9 July 2007 0:00 GMT by Chris Ford

Remember Jenga, the game of wooden blocks stacked high? Poke out the wrong one and the tower will fall… and then there’s the boring job of picking them up again. Well, Atari has eliminated the last part by announcing that Jenga is on its way to the virtual world.

Heading to Nintendo Wii and DS this November, Atari hope that its offering will provide unpredictable, quick-paced, tactical play that combines suspense and risk-taking.
The Wii version of Jenga will, of course, employ the Remote and Nunchuk controllers, while the DS’ touch screen will provide intuitive control, both consoles with solo and multi-player modes.

“Fans of the Jenga family of games will fall in love with this exciting brand all over again,” said Jeremiah Cohn, senior product manager, Atari, Inc.

“We are thrilled to deliver this timeless and renowned game with new variations and surprises for the Nintendo DS and Wii.”
