Konami has announced that the Portugal and Manchester United midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo has been chosen as the European face of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.

Set for release this Autumn on the 360, PC, PS3, PS2, PSP and Nintendo DS, the game promises new things including Teamvision AI (see link below) which will learn from a players moves and adapt accordingly.

Ronaldo, diplomatic as ever and errrm, completely unscripted, said, "For me there is no other game that can capture the grace and skill of football like PES 2008.

"Every element of the game is lavished with incredible detail, and with its close control and fast pace it is the most complete simulation of real football out there."
