For anyone old enough to remember the little blue hedgehog on SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis will be pleased to know that Sonic is now available to be downloaded from Xbox LIVE.

Originally released in 1991, the groundbreaking title Sonic The Hedgehog still makes for fun after all these years as the rocketing Sonic blasts through hair-raising loop-the-loops and dizzying dives past bubbling lava, waterfalls and more as he gather up Rings and stops Dr. Robotnik’s schemes for world domination.

Sonic isn’t the only game from SEGA’s Vintage Collection on Xbox LIVE as he joins Golden Axe for a dusting off in the next-Gen for all of 400 points to include full Xbox LIVE features including leaderboards.
