Xboxers luck out on new CoD FPS

It seems that lucky Xbox gamers have trumped their PS3 and PC counterparts with news that Call of Duty 4 will be putting in an appearance on the Microsoft console ahead of the general release.

Infinity Ward announced that a CoD4 multi-player beta on the 360 with quick and easy matchmaking via Microsoft's Xbox Live service and innovations like class creation, a player ranking system, and a perk system.

Grant Collier, Studio Head at Infinity Ward said, "Gamers will get a sneak peek at what is going to be the best multi-player game this fall."

The beta should be launched sometime in August with the general release sometime later in the Autumn.
