Microsoft Chatpad gets price and launch date

Only US confirmed so far, but expect it to arrive in the UK for Christmas

Microsoft's Messenger keyboard for the Xbox 360 has been given a price and launch date.

Announced back in April, Microsoft has said the new accessory which bolts on your Xbox 360 controller will cost $29.99 in the US and be available in the US from the beginning of September.

The new Chatpad Messenger Kit for the Xbox 360 will also include a separate headset.

To tie in with the 360’s functionality, Live Messenger users will be able to see if any of their contacts have Xbox Live gamertags.
