Along with the news that there’ll be no price cut for the PS3 in Europe, much to gamer’s ire, Sony has also announced other news concerning its next-Gen console.

Firstly, there news that Sony won’t be releasing the 80GB PS3 in Europe, at least in the foreseeable future. And that’s it. No reason why, no apology. Sony is obviously trying to concentrate on getting sales going on the 60GB model.

And talking of the 60GB model, SCEE president David Reeves has been speaking out saying it U.S stocks won’t be replenished once they’ve been sold out, being replaced solely with the new 80GB version.

Following a question regarding the fair treatment of European customers like their American counterparts Reeves said, "Well, they're not really are they, because what the US are offering from the 1st of August is a $599 version with one game.

"All they're doing is taking their stock in trade that they've got at the moment of the 60GB model, marking the price down and it will all be gone by the end of July."

Reeves was asked to clarify his answer and he confirmed that it was the end of the 60GB version in the U.S.
