The Simpsons meltdown on mobiles

New mobile phone title from EA

NEWS: 19 July 2007 19:55 GMT by Chris Ford

With an eye to the upcoming Simpsons Movie Electronic Arts has announced The Simpsons: Minutes to Meltdown, an original game developed exclusively for mobile phones.

As always with the yellow skinned family from Springfield the action will come thick, fast, and, knowing Homer, thick.

Gamers jump into the action by guiding Homer as he races against the clock and rushes through Springfield in order to stop a meltdown at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.

The game can now be downloaded directly from major wireless carriers in North America and Europe and on the web via Jamster (see link below)

“We are thrilled to put Homer, Bart, Apu and the rest of the Simpsons gang into this mobile game,” said Travis Boatman, VP worldwide studios at EA Mobile.

“With vibrant graphics, dynamic animations, interactions with favourite Simpsons’ characters, and ‘laugh-out-loud’ sound effects, Minutes to Meltdown delivers the unique flavour and humour of the television show.”
