An interview with producer Kazunori Yamauchi in Famitsu magazine has shed more light on Gran Turismo 5, including in-car screens which we’re waiting for online.

As well as a closer look at the in-car action, including in-car engine noise and reflecting wing mirrors, a lot was made of the My Page interface which serves as your personalized menu for the game.

My Page will give gamers a lot to think about as it contains icons for Race, Garage, TV, Album, Option, Profile and Home and also has a calendar with upcoming race events, a world map with your gaming area marked in red, and weather reports for different parts of the world.

Yamauchi was emphatic in his praise of My Page and how it will help the gamer get the most of GT5, with the game loading directly to your My Page when you start.

The Prologue version is out this October and although no release date has been given for the full game there seems to be enough for fans to bite the bullet and buy it regardless, even if it is only to race and save so as to buy a nice car in the full game.
