PS3 Colin McRae: DIRT confirmed for September with new video

New video shows all the damage in all its glory

NEWS: 1 August 2007 0:00 GMT by Chris Ford

Codemasters and Sony have confirmed that Colin McRae: DIRT will be out on the stages of PS3 this Autumn.

Released in time for the September muds, DIRT is going to bring high impact moments through detailed visuals, force feedback steering wheel functionality and a top-spec audio system exclusive to the format.

Fans will be racing on the full gamut of surfaces, from gravel and mud, to snow and ice, and Codemaster’s Neon engine will deliver the most detailed vehicle and environment damage effects in the gaming world so far.

As mentioned before, something exclusive to the format is the 7.1 and 5.1 surround sound audio delivered through the one of the console’s 3.2GHz SPU vector co-processors meaning that the title won’t just be looking good but sounding amazing.

Fans can see the new damage engine video at the Codemasters website or on YouTube (see links below)
