Reports have come in that Sony Japan has confirmed that a massive 1000 cars will be available for racing in the upcoming G5.

Although the Blu-ray disc of the game will contain only 340 cars (as if that isn’t impressive enough!), the rest will be made available through the PlayStation Network.

No word has been made about any additional costs, if there are any or not. However, there have been rumours that the disc will cost less in the hope that extra money can be made through the downloads.
