I-play casual games for the N-Gage

Mobile phone game developers set to bring its game

NEWS: 20 August 2007 13:07 GMT by Chris Ford

Nokia and I-play have announced that they are in cahoots, with the developers set to bring casual gaming to the Finnish mobile giant’s N-Gage.

A line-up of casual games to the N-Gage platform launches this autumn, the first two being World Rally Championship, the official license of the FIA WRC, and Super Mah Jong, an epic tale based on the ancient spiritual game Mah Jong.

I-play has said that it plans to concentrate on pick-up and play type games, essentially one-thumb games for the mass market.

"I-play brings a diverse games portfolio to N-Gage, and we're excited to have them on board", said Gregg Sauter, Director, 3rd Party Publishing, Nokia.

"The N-Gage toolset provides the opportunity to
deliver new features and richer experiences to consumers through I-play's strong portfolio of content. We look forward to this cooperation."
