Konami is going to be taking the Pro Evolution series to the biggest selling console with an exclusive version.

The title, which as yet is untitled, will take to the pitch in the first quarter of 2008 and will offer the same level of realism that has established the series as the definitive football title.

Of course, the developers have had to think carefully about how to incorporate the Wii’s unique control system into the gameplay, and both Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers are going to be employed for action both on and off the ball.

“We are extremely keen to introduce PES to as wide a selection of football fans as possible, and the Wii and its unique abilities are a perfect fit,” commented Jon Murphy, Pro Evolution Soccer Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH.

“The potential for PES on the format is enormous, and we look forward to a very exciting start to 2008.”
