Street racing to bring fans build and burn

NEWS: 29 August 2007 12:51 GMT by Chris Ford

EA is gearing up for a big October release of it latest street racing spectacular, Need for Speed ProStreet.

The newest title in the multi-million selling series will launch in North America on October 31, and Europe on the first day of November.

In Need for Speed ProStreet, you’ll have to build the ultimate battle machine if you want to come out on top. Take it to multi-disciplinary showdowns, grip, drag, drift and speed, and pit your skills and reputation against the world’s best street racers for the meanest street image.

“The Need for Speed franchise has always been on the cutting edge of car culture,” said Executive Producer, Larry LaPierre.

“Street racing is getting more organized and Need for Speed ProStreet is our interpretation of where we anticipate the culture to be in three to five years. We’re delivering on the ultimate proving ground, bringing you out of your neighbourhood back alleys and on to the world stage. This is a next-gen game, packed with the raw intensity and visceral aggression that defines street racing at the highest level.”
