Logitech may make Wiimote rival

A step further in fact, a remote with rumble

NEWS: 30 August 2007 11:48 GMT by Chris Ford

Rumours are flying that Logitech, makers of all things peripheral, has a rival to the Wiimote coming to challenge the official controller.

Speaking to Gamesindustry.biz, Chris Spearing, the UK and Ireland country manager Chris Spearing spoke of the motion sensing versus rumble debate, "Having the motion-sensing in the Sixaxis, that really works for some games. And for the Wii – you've seen people rush out and buy the Wii for that realism, if you're swinging a tennis racket, you know how to do it."

"Hopefully we'll be at the forefront of pushing that further, combining some of the two."

So, when can we expect to see some results of this combining? Well, those same rumours say there'll be something out some time this year... we'll keep you posted.
