The UK High Street retailer Gamestation is going all out to make the Halo 3 launch the event of the year by opening more than 190 of its shops around the country for special midnight festivities.

What is more, the company is wanting to provide an inter-city gaming experience by linking two of its leading stores, in Birmingham and Edinburgh, for fans to go head-to-head via Xbox Live.

"This game will be huge and Gamestation's midnight openings are not to be missed," said Colin Betteridge, area manager of Gamestation.

"Our customers will have the chance to be amongst the first to get their hands on this final chapter of the Halo story."
